Where this site runs

On a private server in a private household in Germany. There is no web host; no data is transferred to third countries.

When you listen

No access log is written and IP addresses are not stored. There are no cookies, no tracking, no analytics and no third-party fonts or scripts. Only how often a track was started is counted, without any link to you.

Your browser stores only your own settings locally (volume, language, last track) and — if you vote with ♥ — a randomly generated ID and your votes. The settings never leave your device.

Voting (♥): for a vote the server stores only your browser's random ID together with the track and the time — no IP address, no name, nothing that leads back to you. This way each vote counts once and can be taken back (tap ♥ again). If you clear your browser's site data, the link to your votes is gone (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

To prevent mass uploads, reports and votes the server counts, per IP address, how often something was sent within the last hour. These counters exist only in memory, are never stored and expire after one hour (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

When you upload a track (“Join in”)

Stored: artist name, e-mail address, time and content of your confirmations, the files and your track details. The e-mail address is used to confirm the upload and to reach you about approval, rejection or complaints. It is never published or shared. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (terms of use) and (c) (Digital Services Act).

Retention: unconfirmed uploads are deleted after 7 days, rejected ones after 30 days; your contact details as soon as no track of yours is stored. The link in every e-mail lets you withdraw your tracks at any time; files and e-mail address are deleted immediately.

E-mail delivery: mails are sent through the operator’s mailbox at STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany, as processor (Art. 28 GDPR).

Donate button

The donate button is an ordinary link, not an embedded payment form. Only when you click it do you leave this site, and PayPal’s privacy policy applies (PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., Luxembourg). Nothing is sent there before.

When you report content

Your report and — only if provided — your contact details are stored to inform you of the decision (Art. 16 DSA). Deleted one year after closure.

Your rights

Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR) via the address above. Right to lodge a complaint: Sächsischer Datenschutz- und Transparenzbeauftragter, Devrientstraße 5, 01067 Dresden, Germany.
